One thing that I have wanted to do for a long time is to check if 360 degrees cameras can be useful for live meetings. Usually when a group gather and they want a remote mate to join them they will put a camera in an angle where they see all the group at the same time. But the remote member would struggle to see the faces of the people that sit away from the camera. A solution- the camera can be in between the group. The remote person can use their phone for rotating where to look or use a VR headset and naturally rotate and face the speaker.
In the following test, I simply put my Insta 360 X5 on my desk while doing a live stream on YouTube. To ensure that the live stream is working, I used my PC to watch it. Then I used my VR headset to watch the same live video. The delay is noticeable, right? Also, the audio feedback loop. Anyhow, it was interesting to watch myself in a 3rd person view. It reminds me of Ryan Trahan video about living 50 hours in a 3rd person view.
Further applications: live streaming events that let people participate in. Notice that due to the delay of few seconds, it's better to let the audience write their responses rather than let them speak directly.
